WORLD HABITAT DAY
HABITAT ANKARA: Urban Parks, From the Past to the Future
The first Monday of October of every year is designated as World Habitat Day by the United Nations. The Day also serves as a reminder to the world that we all have the responsibility and ability to determine the future of our communities and towns.
In this day, we celebrate urban parks of Ankara which contributes to the civic life facilitating for various recreational activities in the capital city. This day reminds us that the future of our urban cities depends on local governments, organizations, communities, universities, public institutions, private sector and other stakeholders collaborating to preserve and create such public spaces for sustainable, carbon-neutral and inclusive environments to live in.
