TEDU CITY 201 Planning Studio has organized an excursion to Burdur between 8-11 November 2021.
With studio executives Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeki Kamil Ülkenli and Dr. Banu Aksel Gurun with Res. Assist. Elif Merve Nalçakar, our 2nd grade students gathered general data from public institutions for their analysis that will form the basis for studio’s frameworks and their individual planning studies.
The first day of the excursion, a general sightseeing of the city was made. On the second day, a meeting was held with the Mayor of Burdur, Ali Orkun Ercengiz, and the students got general information about the city with valuable presentations made by Deputy Mayor Hasan Duygulu and the Head of the Department of Zoning and Construction, Mehmet Bozkurt. On the third day, students visited the ancient city of ‘Sagalassos’ with Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Art and Design Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Serdar Tuna and Assoc. Dr. Eray Dökü from The Department of Archaeology. The excursion ended with a trip to ‘Lisinia Nature Project Area’ on the fourth day.
