MUDDY MESSY MURKY: Urban Photography | Student Workshop

Textured, layered, imperfect, chaotic, and alive, the city is not a backdrop but a protagonist in its own story. Urban photography seeks the city’s multiple layers and the relationships between them as a way of encountering its unpredictable, muddy, messy, and murky soul, as well as its unpolished nature. City is more than the sum of the buildings, and urban photography is the key to getting through it. The workshop encourages participants to use photography—phone or a camera to look at the city’s forms, textures, and mess. Over the course of three days, through technical training, field exploration, and creative post-production, participants will learn to capture both the chaos and the structure of the urban space with photography. Let's "mess with the city" and the urban photography together with us.
